One of the guild members, Stephanie, of the Pittsburgh Modern Quilt Guild suggested in our earliest days that we should take on Sherri Lynn Wood's Modern Mood quilt. Fast forward to today, our April meet-up, where we discussed Sherri Lynn's process and started piecing our mod mood quilts together. During the guild's March meet-up we asked participants to track their moods and select fabrics based on their feelings. A few of the WIPs put together during our meet up can be found on the guild's Flickr page. The above photo is my WIP, which I used during the demo. Next month we will discuss piecing the sections together and explore attaching the curves with machine and hand stitching. I will post photos of our progress. Many thanks to Stephanie for suggesting Sherri Lynn's quilt. It's an opportunity for the guild to continue building on our improv skills.
